Summary
La Mirada just adopted a new council district map, but it’s almost identical to the old one—so most voters will stay in the same district. That matters because your district decides which City Council candidates show up on your ballot.

Impact analysis
The budget impact is basically nil—this is a map update, not a new program.
People who like the current setup and sitting council members benefit most, since the map keeps things stable.
Voters or neighborhoods that wanted boundary changes to shift representation may be disappointed, but most residents aren’t directly hurt.
